The Wildlife Society (TWS) has a wide range of activities in professional development, recreation, fund-raising and recruitment, and community service.
The Penn State Chapter of the Wildlife Society aims to offer opportunities to gain experience outside the classroom, network with as many agencies as possible, recruit the next generation of wildlife-ers, and have fun! Our goal as a group is to promote the development of all phases of wildlife research and management along sound biological lines, in addition to connecting individuals to professionals in the field and the wildlife that surrounds us. Some of our events include Kids Go Wild (an outreach event to educate kids on wildlife science), talks from professionals in wildlife such as Dr. Justin Brown, and other cool activities and workshops.
