Question #1: What inspired you to pursue the major you are in?
I am an Agricultural and Extension Education major because I believe in the future of agriculture and that the future lies in the youth. Since my 10th-grade year of high school, I have been fully immersed in the world of agricultural education. Due to the experiences I had and the people I connected with, leaving high school, I knew that I wanted to be an agricultural educator and FFA advisor. I want to be able to positively influence the next generation of agriculturalists and responsible citizens of the earth while advocating for agriculture.
Question #2: What has been the best part of your time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences?
I have had so many amazing experiences within the College of Agricultural Sciences in a short amount of time. Though I would love to touch on all of them, I will highlight just one. Being an Agricultural and Extension Education major I get to explore a wide variety of classes across the College of Ag Sciences. This has allowed me to expand my knowledge on many topic areas, and it truly makes for a fun and impactful learning experience!
Question #3: What do you wish you would have known as a new student at Penn State?
I wish I had known how easy it is to make Penn State feel small. Coming from a rural area and a small high school, I was very overwhelmed initially. However, I quickly realized how easy it is to build your community in this university of over 40,000 undergraduates.
