Susan Bedsworth Warner

Susan joined the College of Agricultural Sciences Development team in April 2019 and serves as the communications specialist. Her responsibilities include writing gift stories, preparing a monthly email newsletter, creating editorial content for Development publications and the web, assisting with the planning and running of the annual scholarships and awards celebration, and preparing various other communications for the team. She is also a member of the University Staff Advisory Council where she is the Awards Committee Chair. 

Prior to joining the college, Susan handled the marketing and communications efforts for the Office of Physical Plant for nearly 5 years after serving as the writer/editor on the Auxiliary & Business Services marketing team. Susan's career at Penn State began in 2009 as an assistant director of athletic communications.

Originally from Maryland, Susan holds a bachelor of arts degree in public relations from Penn State and a master of arts degree in communications from Johns Hopkins. She is a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Association. Susan is also a Project Purple Ambassador, using running to fundraise for the non-profit, which is an organization dedicated to finding a cure for pancreatic cancer and improving the lives of patients through support, hope, and compassion. Susan resides in Pennsylvania Furnace with her husband and their dog. Outside of work, she is a passionate runner and loves to garden, read, ski, sew, and spend time outdoors.
