Susan Bedsworth Warner

Susan joined the College of Agricultural Sciences Development and Alumni Relations team in April 2019 and serves as the communications specialist. Her responsibilities include overseeing Annual Giving for the college, writing gift stories and proposals, creating editorial content for Development publications and the web, assisting with the planning and running of the annual Scholarships and Awards Donor Celebration, and preparing various other communications for the team. 

Prior to joining the college, Susan handled the marketing and communications efforts for the Office of Physical Plant for nearly 5 years after serving as the writer/editor on the Auxiliary & Business Services marketing team. Susan's career at Penn State began in 2009 with the Penn State Athletics Strategic Communications Office as an assistant director where she worked with the NCAA Champion women's volleyball program, and the men's volleyball, women's gymnastics, and men's basketball teams.

Originally from Maryland, Susan holds a bache's degree in public relations from Penn State and a master's degree in communications from Johns Hopkins. She is a lifetime member of the Penn State Alumni Association. Susan is a pancreatic cancer advocate, using running to fundraise for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. She resides in Warriors Mark with her husband and two dogs. Outside of work, she loves to run, golf, read, garden, bird hunt with the dogs, and spend time outdoors.
