Steven C. Loerch is interim senior associate dean and professor in College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State, where he is responsible for operations and management of personnel, budgets, facilities, and programs.

Dr. Loerch was professor of animal sciences at the Ohio State University for 32 years. His primary responsibilities at Ohio State were in beef cattle and sheep research and teaching. Before returning to Penn State, Dr. Loerch was head of the animal sciences department at the University of Illinois. He has received numerous awards for his research, teaching, and extension education and is a Fellow of the American Society of Animal Science.
