Question #1: What inspired you to pursue the major you are in?

An Epicurious "Four Levels" YouTube video. In this video, the last level is a food scientist from Drexel who talks about the chemistry and microbiology that goes on in the food when it is being made. It made me realize that I can do something really cool with a field that is so unique and targeted in the industry today.

Question #2: What has been the best part of your time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences?

I am exposed to all the networking opportunities! Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences and Food Science Department, more specifically, are recognized worldwide. I have received multiple career opportunities because I am a part of Penn State!

Question #3: What do you wish you would have known as a new student at Penn State?

I wish I knew how to pace myself in my extracurricular activities. Penn State has a lot of opportunities that are amazing, but they will be there for all four years of your college career. Going to a club meeting to see if it is the right one is not a binding agreement; you can pick and choose which ones you truly like.
