Michael Mayernick began his role as an instructional production specialist for the Academic Digital Education team in the College of Agricultural Sciences in January 2019. He utilizes his 5+ years of experience to support the development and maintenance of online credit courses hosted in the Canvas learning management system. Alongside his Academic Digital Education compatriots, he works in coordination with Ag Sci instructors to create, revise, and upkeep course content, which includes text, multimedia, and assessments, to provide students with a rewarding educational experience.

Michael was formerly employed at the Port-Sky Café on the Penn State Altoona campus. Hailing from Altoona, PA, he is a 2011 graduate of Penn State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in Information Sciences and Technology with a minor in Security and Risk Analysis.

When not working or sleeping, Michael enjoys listening to podcasts, drinking coffee and unsweetened iced tea, perusing Wikipedia, consuming television/Twitch/YouTube, working on his fitness in the gym, eating way too much food to his detriment, and celebrating with glee when Penn State dominates in athletic competition. He also overthinks everything. Before his time is up, he hopes the Pittsburgh Pirates win a World Series in his lifetime.
