Dr. Milton Newberry, III is the Director of Student Advocacy and Access Programs in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State University. In this role, he recruits and supports undergraduate and graduate students across the college, including those who participate in university scholarship programs. Dr. Newberry also mentors undergraduate students in career trajectory and professional development. Through his support of students, he creates and implements programming to engage students about and across differences in innovation within agricultural disciplines, promote civil discourse and community building, and create change for the progression of agriculture, natural resources, and the environment to tackle the problems of tomorrow.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement retention programming for underserved undergraduate students
  • Facilitate mentoring for academic success and career advancement
  • Serves as liaison to student advocacy, access, and success programs at the University level
