Question #1: What inspired you to pursue the major you are in?
I have been involved in agriculture since I was younger. I grew up helping on the family crop farm. I then moved on to showing livestock when I was 8 years old. I have always wanted to pursue a career in the livestock industry. When I was in high school during the pandemic, I started working in the meat industry. Here at Penn State, I can continue to have an amazing education towards my career in the industry.
Question #2: What has been the best part of your time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences?
Since I came to the College of Agricultural Sciences, I have been able to grow my passion for agriculture and look forward to making a difference in the industry in the future. Since coming to Penn State, I have become involved in many different activities and work at the Meat Lab. The best part of the College of Agricultural is the people and how welcoming they are towards everyone.
Question #3: What do you wish you would have known as a new student at Penn State?
One thing I wish I had known as a new student at Penn State was to not be afraid of what has come before me and to embrace what is going to come. You can make your own story here, and the friends you make will help you get to that point. Becoming yourself and seeing where the world takes you is frightening but is the greatest experience.
