Chris Coyne is an instructional designer at Penn State, where he harnesses his 20 years of curriculum development to help engage learners in the digital realm. Chris works one-on-one with agricultural educators to bring their content and expertise to the world of online education. As the primary instructional designer for Learn Now video production, Chris is tasked with streamlining the video production process while providing rich and engaging content to learners.
Chris has been a teacher trainer and won several staff excellence awards. As a high school teacher and department head, he was twice voted to speak at graduation to audiences upwards of 5000.
Prior to Penn State Extension, Chris worked at the Writing Center at Penn State Harrisburg after retiring from teaching high school Advanced Placement English, and Freshman English and Advance Rhetoric at the college level. At Flagstaff (AZ) High School, he co-developed the online credit retrieval program for the Flagstaff Unified School District's secondary schools. Chris also provided teacher trainings statewide in Arizona for the Coconino County Education Service Agency.
Originally from State College, PA, Chris received his Master of Arts in English Education from Northern Arizona University in 2006, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Penn State in 1994.
