Question #1: What inspired you to pursue the major you are in?
I knew I wanted to work with animals but was not interested in going to veterinary school. The Animal Science major gives me options. I chose it for the opportunity to work with livestock, such as beef, sheep, and swine, along with dairy cattle and poultry, with a focus on production and management.
Question #2: What has been the best part of your time in the Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences?
I have really enjoyed getting to learn about and work with animal products, such as dairy, meat, and eggs, in my classes.
Question #3: What do you wish you would have known as a new student at Penn State?
I wish I knew about the number of resources available on campus. There is the Career Services Center, the Intramural Building, Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), and more are all set up to help students succeed academically and socially.
