“There is so much the College of Agricultural Sciences does to impact the world. I love connecting donors to their passions and helping them find ways to make a real difference for students and programs.”

Since 1999, Abby Hopkins has played an integral role in the success of Penn State’s fundraising efforts. She first joined the College of Agricultural Sciences in 1999, departing in 2010 to become associate director of recognition and later associate director of stewardship in the University’s Office of Donor Relations and Special Events. Abby returned to the college in 2018 as associate director of development, a role that takes her around the state and country, where she does what she enjoys most:  getting to know prospective donors and learning about their lives, interests, and accomplishments. Abby’s broad skill set includes stewardship strategies, communications and presentation expertise, leadership experience, and more. She serves as conference program chair for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District V and is a member of Penn State’s LGBT Support Network.
