Dion Lerman is the Environmental Health Programs Specialist for the Pennsylvania Integrated Pest Management Program in Philadelphia. Since 2007, he has conducted outreach and education projects on improving pest management, and health and safety, community-wide.

He is an Associate Certified Entomologist and a certified Healthy Homes Specialist and leads Healthy Homes and IPM trainings for residents, property managers, childcare providers and schools, pest control operators, and public/community health workers across the region and nation. Dion is a licensed pesticide applicator (PA # 705688). He is Keystone STARS-certified to instruct childcare providers, and deliver the EcoHealthy Childcare program.

In addition, Dion Lerman has served as a consultant for the National Center for Healthy Housing and the US Environmental Protection Agency. He has conducted trainings nationwide for under-served audiences, including American Indian tribes: the Lower Brulle, Crow Creek and Cheyenne River Sioux in South Dakota. Dion has a background in food safety, and is a ServSafe Instructor.

He has previously worked in adult continuing education for Drexel and Fairleigh-Dickinson Universities; and has provided career training for homeless mothers and ex-offenders in Philadelphia.
