The Field Office Technical Guide (FOTG) is the primary scientific reference for the Pennsylvania Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS).
Best management practices listed in Act 38 nutrient management plans to address manure management and stormwater problems are selected from the PA Field Office Technical Guide practices list. These BMPs must be designed, implemented, and maintained to meet specifications outlined in the practice standard.
Section IV of the PA Field Office Technical Guide contains the NRCS standards and specifications for each conservation practice for Pennsylvania.
