The first step in obtaining nutrient management certification is to enroll in the Nutrient Management Certification Program.
There are two ways to enroll in the certification program.
- If you have internet access and you have not applied for a license before, you may go to PAPlants, click the "Apply for New License" tab, select the license you need, and follow the instructions.
- If you do not have internet access you must complete and submit the Nutrient Management Certification Application and mail the application to Michael Aucoin Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA) at 2301 North Cameron Street, Room 311, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
If you are submitting the paper application PDA will provide you with a PAPlants ID number and a PIN number once the application is processed. The new applicant will use these numbers to register as a user of PAPlants.
