The University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine is unlike any other DVM program in the United States. The length of our program is only 3 years to graduate with your DVM, compared to the more traditional 4-year model. Our program is able to get around this by including a summer semester into the program, making it a year-round DVM program and now allowing students to graduate 1 full year earlier. At the forefront of our teaching style is having our students participate in team-based learning and hands on approach, allowing students to interact with animals as soon as the 2nd week in their 1st year. Our campus does not have a teaching nor animal hospital onsite, however for their 3rd and final year of our program (the clinical year) our students complete 5 mandatory and 7 elective rotations from over 800 clinical partnerships that we have across the United States.
