PA-WAgN's "Walk a Mile" potluck series, with hosts throughout the state and meetings throughout the year, is a chance to meet others of like mind in your area, share perspective, stories and food, and grow your knowledge and resource base as well as your personal network. This is real networking, folks: not phone-to-phone, but face-to-face. Showing others how you live, and learning how others live. Teaching and learning and growing stronger and more resilient, together. Our next gathering will be in northern Allegheny County (Natrona Heights), and will focus on fall garlic planting. Please bring a dish to share, and feel free to bring your children, family and friends. We look forward to seeing you there!

Farm Walk Kitchen Talk: Norris Square Neighborhood Project

**NEW DATE - OCTOBER 26th** Join us for a Farm Walk Kitchen Talk hosted in partnership with the Norris Square Neighborhood Project. For this FREE EVENT, we will meet at El Batey Garden - 169 W. Susquehanna Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19122, on Saturday, October 26th, 2019, from 10a-2p. The event will include: a youth-led tour of the Norris Square Neighborhood Project's cultural gardens, light farm refreshments and community potluck , garden cleanup and installation of a memorial to late garden founder Tomasita Romero, and workshops led by Philadelphia-based women ag entrepreneurs on cut flowers and dry flower wreath making.

Tabling at Penns Valley Fiber Festival

Local Central PA shepherds and fiber artists will be selling their farm raised and hand dyed yarns; roving; hand dyed wool; hand made and hand knitted items; needlefelting; wool applique kits, patterns and finished goods; punchneedle kits, patterns, and finished goods; hand carved birds, farm animals and fiber animals; and home made lip balms and lotion sticks. Local food vendor with home made soups, home baked goods, BBQ chicken and more.
