Game of Logging National Finals Competition for Landowner and Pro Logger Divisions

Game of Logging is a world-recognized training curriculum that teaches chain saw skills. The “game” refers not only to the friendly competitive aspect of the training, but also to the necessity of having a winning plan or strategy for felling trees and working safely.

Qualifiers from the state level will compete on Saturday, June 10,  during PA Timber Show on West 9th St. and Demo Alley.

Preliminary events begin at 9:00 a.m.

  • Precision Cut
  • Bore Cut
  • Precision Stump
  • Big Stump
  • Spring Pole
  • Bucking
  • Limbing
  • Aiming

 The final event, Tree Felling, begins at 1:00 p.m.

Game of Logging offers four levels of chainsaw safety training, as well as skidder, forwarder, clearing saw, gentle logging and storm damage training. The training is offered to professional loggers, foresters, college students, forest landowners, casual users, city-parks and utility workers, firemen, and anyone interested in learning any of the chainsaw safety techniques.
