Take a Professor or Adviser to Lunch

An opportunity to connect with your professor or adviser outside the classroom.

Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS) undergraduate students are invited to take a CAS professor or adviser to lunch at one of the dining halls on campus, on us! This is a great opportunity to connect with a professor or adviser outside of the classroom. Research has shown that student success is promoted through interactions like this.

Take a Professor or Adviser to Lunch is active each fall and spring semester.

How it Works

  1. Schedule a lunch time with your professor or adviser (they must be part of the College of Agricultural Sciences).
  2. Register using the link below at least one week prior to your scheduled lunch. Only students who are pursuing a degree in the College of Agricultural Sciences are eligible to participate. You may invite up to two additional students to participate as well. Each student is eligible to participate in the program once per semester (regardless of whether you're the scheduler or a guest).
  3. Within a week, you and your professor or adviser will receive approval via e-mail. Once the meal is approved, you will receive additional instructions, including details on obtaining a dining card, valid at any one of the dining halls on campus.
