Scholarships

Consideration for this award shall be given to honor and recognize outstanding academic achievement by at least a fifth semester standing undergraduate student who is minoring in Equine Science, or successor program, in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, at the University. Awards shall be dependent upon the annual contribution and in no case shall the value of the funds expended exceed the funds available for this purpose. Awards may be provided to eligible recipients regardless of enrollment status, so long as the recipients are in good academic standing and intend to continue their education in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, at the University. Each award shall be for one academic year. Further extraordinary accomplishments by a recipient may enable that recipient to be again considered for this award. It is the donors' preference that an award of $500 each be made to two students per year.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, at the University who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses (the "General Eligibility Criteria"). From the identified pool of eligible recipients, and to the extent possible, preference shall be given to students in the following order: 1. First preference shall be given to students who are majoring in or planning to major in Animal Science and whose home address of record is in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. 2. Second preference shall be given to student who are majoring in or planning to major in Animal Science, regardless of their home address of record. If no students meet the stated preferences in a given year or if there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the stated preferences, available funds will be awarded to any student based on the General Eligibility Criteria, regardless of preference. ** DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, at the University who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses (the "General Eligibility Criteria"). From the identified pool of eligible recipients, and to the extent possible, preference shall be given to eligible recipients in the following order: First preference shall be given to students who are graduates of, or who are planning to graduate from, any high school located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. If no students meet the stated preferences in a given year or if there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the stated preferences, available funds will be awarded to any student based on the General Eligibility Criteria, regardless of preference. **DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are also enrolled or planning to enroll in the Schreyer Honors College at The Pennsylvania State University.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success, and who have a demonstrated financial need. Preference shall be given to students who are members of the Minorities in Agriculture and Natural Resources Association (MANRA). *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

The intent of this scholarship is to provide recognition and financial assistance to full-time undergraduate students who are majoring in or planning to major in a degree offered by the Department of Plant Science, or successor department, who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to undergraduate students of at least sophomore academic standing; whose home address of record is located in York County, Pennsylvania; who are majoring or planning to major in Animal Science and who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. In the event there are no students whose home address of record is in York County in a given year, then consideration for this scholarship may also be given to students whose home address of record is in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. First preference shall be given to eligible recipients who have demonstrated outstanding academic success. *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are enrolled in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation minor, or successor degree program, or who are or who have been participants in the Ag Springboard Competition, or successor program/competition, or who are participating in or who have participated in a for-credit internship affiliated with the Entrepreneurship and Innovation program in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are majoring or planning to major in Environmental Resource Management, or successor academic degree program in the Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering in the College of Agricultural Sciences, and who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. From the identified pool of eligible recipients, and to the extent possible, preference shall be given to eligible students in the following order: First preference shall be given to students who are past participants in the Pennsylvania Envirothon Program, or successor program and who are enrolled in the Environmental Science option or the Water Science option. Second preference shall be given to students who are enrolled in the Environmental Science option or the Water Science option who have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a scale of 4.0) and are at least 4th semester standing. If no students meet the state preferences in a given year or if there are sufficient funds to award additional scholarships beyond the eligible recipients who meet the stated preferences, available funds will be awarded to any student based on the General Eligibility Criteria, regardless of preference. *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

First preference shall be given to students who are participants in Complete Penn State. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are pursuing a degree program offered in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic department/unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in an international study abroad/experience and who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in Raise.me, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), or Complete Penn State, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in Raise.me, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), or Complete Penn State, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who: 1. are pursuing a program of study within the Department of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences; 2. are at least a junior academic standing; 3. have achieved a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a scale of 4.0); 4. are planning to pursue further education in veterinary school and 5. have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. From the identified pool of eligible recipients, and to the extent possible, first preference shall be given to students who are actively applying to veterinary schools. *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are participating in Raise.me, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), or Complete Penn State, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students majoring or planning to major in Animal Science in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic major/unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. First preference shall be given to students who are majoring or planning to major in Animal Science with a focus on Dairy Science. *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to full-time undergraduate students majoring in or planning to major in Food Science in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic major/unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. First preference shall be given to students whose home address of record is within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are participating in Raise.me, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP") or Complete Penn State, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. Consideration for this award shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are majoring in Wildlife and Fisheries Science, or successor degree program, in the Department of Ecosystem Science and Management in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor department/academic unit. The recipients will have achieved superior academic records and have exhibited some exemplary achievement.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in Raise.me, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), or Complete Penn State, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

First preference shall be given to students who are participants in STEP. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in RaiseMe, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), or Complete Penn State, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs. First preference shall be given to students who are participants in Complete Penn State. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. First preference shall be given to students who are minoring in Agricultural Communications. **DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in RaiseMe, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), Complete Penn State, or Smart Track to Success, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs. First preference shall be given to students who are participants in Complete Penn State. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in RaiseMe, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), Complete Penn State, or Smart Track to Success or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs. Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are majoring or planning to major in Agricultural and Extension Education in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology and Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. **DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or panning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in Raise.me, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), or Complete Penn State, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs. First preference shall be given to students who are participants in STEP. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in RaiseMe, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), Complete Penn State, or Smart Track to Success, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Programs. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are participating in RaiseMe, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), Complete Penn State, or Smart Track to Success, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Programs initiative which provide undergraduate scholarships. If no eligible students are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses. First preference shall be given to students who are majoring in or planning to major in Agricultural and Extension Education. **DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in RaiseMe, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), Complete Penn State, or Smart Track to Success, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Programs.

Awards from this fund shall be given to students enrolled in the Food Science Continuing Education Programs who have earned a superior academic record.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in RaiseMe, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), Complete Penn State, or Smart Track to Success, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Programs.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in RaiseMe, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), Complete Penn State, or Smart Track to Success, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students majoring in or planning to major in Food Science in the College of Agricultural Sciences who: 1. Have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success; 2. Have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses; 3. Have a home address of record in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; and 4. Are underrepresented students whose gender, ethnic, cultural, and /or national background contribute to the diversity of the student body. *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to graduate students who have been admitted to the Graduate School at the University as candidates for a graduate degree offered in the College of Agricultural Sciences whose studies are associated with Penn State Extension and focus on production agriculture or applied agricultural field research. First preference shall be given to Penn State Extension employees.

Consideration for this award shall be given to full-time undergraduate students enrolled in the Department of Animal Science in the College of Agricultural Sciences at the University who have achieved academic success while adding to the overall enthusiasm and motivation of their peers in Animal Science.

Consideration for this award shall be given to full-time undergraduate students majoring in Animal Science in the College of Agricultural Sciences who demonstrate leadership skills through clubs within the Department of Animal Science, or successor department.

Consideration for this award shall be given to a graduate student pursuing a degree within the Department of Food Science who has demonstrated excellence in outreach teaching or who has assisted with dairy foods-related courses through outreach teaching events offered by the Department of Food Science in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are participating in RaiseMe, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), Complete Penn State, or Smart Track to Success, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs. First preference shall be given to students who are participants in Complete Penn State.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses and who are either pursuing a degree in Food Science or who are active in the military or are veterans. *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses and who are pursuing a degree in one of the following majors: Landscape Contracting, Plant Science (with the Horticulture option), Turfgrass Science, or Forest Ecosystem Management, or successor academic majors. First preference shall be given to students whose home address of record is located within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or states contiguous to Pennsylvania (Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, or West Virginia). *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled or plan to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses and whose home address of record is located within either Tioga County or Bradford County, Pennsylvania. First preference shall be given to students who are either sophomore, junior or senior status and who are enrolled in the equine minor or who are participating in a horse-related club or team such as the equestrian team, horse judging team, Penn State Equine Research Team (PSERT), or the Collegiate Horsemen at Penn State (CHAPS). *DEMONSTRATED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences who are enrolled in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation minor or who are or who have been participants in the Ag Springboard Competition or who are participating in or who have participated in a for-credit internship affiliated with the Entrepreneurship and Innovation program in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

Consideration for this fellowship shall be given to full-time graduate students exhibiting outstanding academic excellence who have been admitted to the Graduate School at the University as candidates for a Ph.D. degree. First preference will be given to candidates for a Ph.D. degree, whose research shows potential to directly impact the field of Phytobiomes as demonstrated by their dissertation proposal, and who are active participants in the Microbiome Center.

Consideration for this award shall be given to graduate students, regardless of enrollment status, who are enrolled or planning to enroll in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology and Education in the College of Agricultural Sciences, who are pursuing a degree in Rural Sociology and who have achieved strong academic records or who manifest promise of excellent academic success.
