College-wide Scholarships

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who are planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences who have achieved a predicted grade point average of 2.50. Consideration shall be given to incoming freshmen students who have demonstrated an interest in Agriculture through high school, community, extra-curricula, or personal activities such as working in Agricultural related industry. This scholarship is limited to residents of Pennsylvania. Providing they meet the other eligibility requirements, graduates of the Mifflinburg Area High School, Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania, shall be given preference. Endowed by Donald L. and Betty J. Consideration for scholarships shall be given to undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who are participating in the Student Transitional Experiences Program ("STEP"), RaiseMe, the Pathway to Success Summer Start Program ("PaSSS"), Complete Penn State, or Smart Track to Success, or successor or additional programs created by the University under its Access and Affordability Pilot Programs. First preference shall be given to students who are participants in STEP. If no eligible students for the above-mentioned programs are identified in a particular academic year, then this endowment shall be used for scholarship support for undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have a demonstrated financial need for funds to meet their necessary college expenses.

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all returning adult undergraduate students with the desire to obtain a degree who are enrolled or are planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences; who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success; and who have a proven financial need. Preference shall be given to women within the limitations prescribed under Title IX U.S.C. Established by M. C. Saylor in memory of Donald R. Saylor. ** DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences, who are members of the Morrill Chapter of Alpha Zeta Fraternity, and who have exhibited excellence in scholarship, leadership and fellowship.

Consideration for this award shall be given to all graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Agricultural Sciences, or successor academic unit, who have achieved exemplary academic success in a turfgrass degree program.

First preference shall be given to students from the eligible pool who are enrolled in the Schreyer Honors College. If no students meet the first preference in a given year, funds will be awarded to any student in the College of Agricultural Sciences general eligibility pool, regardless of preference. **DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED IS REQUIRED

Consideration for this scholarship shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who have demonstrated financial need and who have achieved superior academic records or who manifest promise of outstanding academic success. First preference shall be given to full-time undergraduate students who meet the above mentioned criteria and whose permanent residence is located in Chester, Delaware or Lancaster counties in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. If no students meet the first preference in a given year, funds will be awarded to any student in the College of Agricultural Sciences eligibility pool, regardless of preference. ** DOCUMENTED FINANCIAL NEED REQUIRED

Consideration for this award shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students who have completed at least one year of study in the College of Agricultural Sciences. Criteria for selection include superior academic performance, character, professional promise, participation in extracurricular activities, and work experience. Awarded in the College of Agricultural Sciences in even years. Endowed by members of Alpha Zeta Fraternity.

Consideration for this award shall be given to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled or planning to enroll in the College of Agricultural Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University who are extraordinary academic achievers.
