This African American Food Ways event will feature a recorded presentation from Soul Fire Farm. Following the presentation, Leah Penniman, farmer and co-founder of Soul Fire Farm, will join us for a live Q&A to share her experiences around sustainable agriculture, sovereignty and racial justice in the food system. The goal of the event is for participants to pursue further learning and consider how they can support and honor communities of color in their daily lives. Penn State students and others who do not share an African American heritage are invited to join this introductory, interactive celebration of African American sustainable agriculture and diversity in the food system.
