Spring Commencement Participation Limited to Spring Semester Graduates
Because the College of Agricultural Sciences continues to grow, we have surpassed the guest seating capacity at the Pegula Ice Arena for our spring commencement ceremony.
Effective Spring 2026, the College of Agricultural Sciences will eliminate commencement participation for non-graduating seniors, i.e., walkers, at the college's Spring ceremony.
Several colleges must implement this necessary change to address maximum occupancy limits at Pegula Ice Arena. The safety of our guests is a top priority. It is our goal that this important step will prevent the need to limit the number of guests per graduate through an event ticketing system.
Summer and fall commencement ceremonies, led by the University, are consistent in format and tradition with the spring ceremony. All graduates will continue to have the opportunity to celebrate this important milestone with Penn State pride and formal recognition.
