The Penn State Livestock Judging Team traveled to Cookeville, TN. for the 2025 Prof. Lidvall Memorial Judging Contest. Team members had individual success and Penn State was 4th team overall.
Kicking off the fall run, Penn State's Livestock Judging Team traveled to Cookeville, Tennessee, to compete in the Prof. Lidvall Memorial Livestock Judging Contest. Along the way, the team had the chance to evaluate outstanding livestock at Hancock Hampshires and Oakley Farms Show Cattle. Maddie Pimm placed 3rd individual overall, Megan Zipprich was 7th overall, Dave Schultheis was 17th overall, and the team finished 4th overall. Students preparing to be on the team in 2026 also had the opportunity to travel and compete in the rookie division, where Eve McGargle placed 3rd overall in the sheep and goat division and Avah Burke was 5th overall in the stockman’s contest. One contest down, four more to go!
