Did you know: more than 50 Penn State students have participated in the City Semester Pittsburgh program over the past few years – including 19 who completed the program virtually last summer? And several have been AgSci students!
City Semester is hosted by Penn State Center Pittsburgh and is an immersive “study away” experience for students to live and learn in the heart of the city. During the program, students live in Pittsburgh (or tune in virtually) while earning credits with:
- An engaging virtual or in-person internship in a student's field of interest
- Urban Sustainability course including guest speakers and discussions on climate action, justice and inequality, urban design, food security, water quality and more
- The opportunity to network with and be mentored by local community leaders
