Penn State Extension is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as a Part-Time Soybean On-Farm Research Intern, supporting field crop research and outreach efforts with an emphasis on soybean production.

The intern will assist with a variety of research and extension activities, including fieldwork, scouting crops for pests and diseases, evaluating plant growth, collecting and organizing research data, and supporting the coordination of field days and educational conferences. The position will also contribute to the development of educational materials used to share research findings with producers and the agricultural community.

The role involves travel throughout Greene County, Washington County, and Fayette County, where on-farm research trials and extension activities take place.

Experience working with field crops is preferred. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license due to the travel required for field research activities.

Individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in agricultural research and extension are encouraged to apply.
