Penn State students can explore financial topics and build practical skills through free webinars offered by the Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center.
The Sokolov-Miller Family Financial and Life Skills Center offers financial education opportunities to help Penn State students develop knowledge and skills for managing their finances. The Center’s resources cover a range of personal finance topics and are available to students across Penn State.
This fall, students can participate in live webinars led by Center staff. Sessions are held Tuesdays from noon to 1 p.m. and include:
- Paying for College — August 25
- Financial Literacy Overview — September 8
- Building a Better Budget — September 22
- All About Credit — October 6
- Credit Cards — October 20
- Debt Management — November 3
- Identity Theft + Protection — November 17
- Saving and Investing — December 1
- Register separately for each webinar they would like to attend.
In addition to live webinars, the Center offers self-study modules, recorded webinars and other financial education resources. Currently enrolled students can also schedule confidential one-on-one financial coaching, and presentations and workshops are available for student organizations, clubs and classes.
