Agriculture Future of America has selected 25 Ambassadors to serve for the organization’s 2020-2021 year. These students represent 25 schools from 21 states. During their year of service, they will interact with agribusiness leaders, campus faculty and fellow students as they represent AFA. Among those chosen is Penn State Ag Sciences student Patrick Rush.
Patrick hails from Collegeville, PA. He did not grow up on a farm, but credits 4-H for igniting his passion for agriculture by the age of ten. Currently, he is an Animal Sciences major. When he's not participating in Collegiate Farm Bureau and Collegiate Cattlewomen activities here on campus, you can find him at the Alpha Fire Company where he serves as a volunteer firefighter. Patrick shares, “I look forward to spreading the word about AFA, in hopes of getting other students involved in the various professional development events offered. By sharing my experiences and the impact that AFA has had on me, my goal is to increase participation from Penn State Ag Sciences students." To learn more about AFA, contact Patrick at pxr5182@psu.edu.
