Congratulations Olivia Kaltenbach on being selected Ag Student of the Month for April 2022! Ag Student of the Month is a prestigious award given out by the College of Ag Student Council to a student that demonstrates actions that benefit their club and the College of Agricultural Sciences.

Olivia Kaltenbach is a first-year student majoring in animal science and minoring in equine science. She is involved with Block and Bridle, Delta Theta Sigma, and the PSU Horse Barns. Olivia credits her participation in these organizations as helping her expand her horizons in the College of Ag Sciences.

Working in the horse barns has helped her gain experience with horses as well as introduce her to many of the Penn State faculty. Through Delta Theta Sigma Social/Professional Fraternity, she has fostered connections to the Penn State community by not only becoming involved with current students, but also with an extensive network of alumni that are working in the agricultural field. Olivia values all that she has been able to learn from the alumni. Block & Bridle has increased her knowledge of agricultural activities and has opened opportunities for her to get involved with events such as Little International (Little I) and the Keystone International Livestock Exposition. Olivia also works in Penn State Extension, the Director's office.

Olivia plans to enter the equine industry, and she looks forward to continuing her education with support from the College of Ag Sciences to help make her career goal a reality.

Congratulations Olivia!
