We will be reading - US In Progress: Short Stories About Young Latinos by Lulu Delacre
In this book you will meet young Latinos living in the United States. Turn the pages to experience life through the eyes of these boys and girls, see their hardships, celebrate their victories, and come away with a better understanding of the many ways to be Latino in the United States today.
The Office of Multicultural Affairs sponsors a diversity book club for faculty, staff, and extension educators in the College of Agricultural Sciences. This year the club is being opened to students. Club members must agree to read the book this semester and to participate in a discussion about its contents and implications. Once club participation is finalized, a date for the discussion will be determined. We will aim for dates from mid-November to early December over the lunch hour.
