Are you thinking about applying to join the 2026-2027 Ag Advocate team? Come meet the current Advocates, learn about their mission as college ambassadors, and enjoy snacks!
The Ag Advocates serve as front-line ambassadors for the college and share their Ag Sciences journeys with prospective students, all while developing leadership skills and growing their professional networks. The application to join the 2026-2027 Advocate team is open until February 19th.
If you have already applied or are interested in learning more, you are invited to the Ag Advocate Meet & Greet on Tuesday, February 3rd, from 5:15-6:00 PM in 113 Ag Engineering Building. Meet the current advocates, learn about their activities, ask any questions you have, and enjoy snacks.
An Ag Advocate must:
- Be a full-time student pursuing any major in the College of Agricultural Sciences.
- Be a first-, second-, or third-year student. In other words, commit to at least one consecutive year of service (Fall/Spring Semester) on the Ag Advocate team.
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.75.
- Attend meetings, typically Tuesday evenings from 5:00 – 6:00 PM, as well as periodic team building and training activities.
- Be willing to participate in recruitment and outreach activities, which may occur in the evenings and on the weekends.
- Be highly motivated, enthusiastic, dependable, and knowledgeable.
- Be able to demonstrate outstanding leadership skills and team responsibility.
- Be sincere in representing Penn State and the College of Agricultural Sciences.
