The National Park Service is currently accepting applications for the 2018 Branching Out Field Team. Join our crew as a Field Team Member!

Branching Out provides young people with an overview of resource stewardship practices through a variety of educational workshops and hands-on field experiences. Field team members must have an interest in learning about landscape stewardship practices, being part of a team, and working outdoors.
Participants will:

  • Gain experience using landscape management hand tools and equipment
  • Explore the fields of horticulture, biology, environmental science, tree care, and carpentry
  • Learn about the National Park Service mission and visit multiple national parks in the Northeast region
  • Provide support to parks through hands-on, outdoor landscape stewardship projects

This is a paid experience, for 28 hours per week, from July 9 - August 23, 2018. Hourly rates start at $11.00 per hour. Public transportation expenses to/from work are reimbursed.
Online application available here.
Applications must be received by Friday, April 20, 2018. Applications received after this date will not be reviewed.
