Students are able to use LionPATH to declare their major once they meet the Entrance to Major requirements.
If you have met your Entrance to Major requirements, you are eligible to use Update Academics in LionPATH to declare your major. For many majors, a student can move from pre-major (PMAJ) status to the major once they have completed a minimum of 29.1 credits and earned a 2.00 cumulative GPA. There are some majors that will require additional entrance requirements (C or better grades in specific courses). If you are unsure if you have met the requirements, you can check with your academic adviser.

Please note: You are not automatically moved into a major once the requirements are met. Instead, you must use Update Academics to make the change.
