The Arboretum at Penn State invites everyone to attend our annual Pumpkin Festival on Friday and Saturday, October 19 and 20.

The festival will start on Sunday, October 14, when we give 1,000 pumpkins to people to carve for the jack-o'-lantern contest. The giveaway will occur from 1-3 PM. We will be receiving jack-o'-lanterns for the contest from 9 AM - 3 PM on Friday, October 19. Hundreds of lighted jack-o'-lanterns will be displayed from 6-9 PM on Friday and Saturday, October 19 and 20. (Please bring a flashlight if attending evening events.) Family activities, including crafts, storytelling, a strolling magician, and strolling singers, will be available from 4-6 PM and music will be provided by the Nittany Valley Wranglers from 5-8 PM. Food vendors will be on site both Friday and Saturday nights. All activities will occur in the H.O. Smith Botanic Gardens near the intersection of Park Avenue and Bigler Road, University Park, PA.
