The Penn State Coaly Society is an honorary society for students who exemplify leadership excellence in extracurricular activities within the College of Agricultural Sciences. Coaly Society activities include conducting the Guldin Speaking Contest and selecting our college’s Outstanding Senior.
We are looking for students who are dedicated to the College of Agricultural Sciences and are actively involved in college organizations. Selection of new Coaly Society members is based on leadership positions (offices or committee chairs) in Ag Hill activities. Other activities such as judging teams are also considered. You must be a member of at least one club sponsored by the College of Agricultural Sciences to be eligible, and you must have completed one full semester at the University Park campus. Applicants must have reached at least junior class standing academically. Please be thorough in completing the application since this is the only criterion used in selecting candidates. Feel free to use additional paper if necessary, and please be concise in your essay. Although applicants must have an overall grade point average of 2.5 or higher, the primary criterion used for selection is leadership in College of Agricultural Sciences student clubs.
Applications can be picked up in 101 Ag Administration or can be requested by email to vzh5064@psu.edu. Applications are due in 101 Ag Administration Building on Wednesday, April 11, by 4:30 p.m. The applications must be either typed on the original form or retyped. Computer simulations are acceptable.
