“Crossing Over The Mountain” - How to Communicate with a Public Not Fascinated with Modern Agriculture

Please join the Penn State Agronomy Club Thursday, March 17th, at 5:00 p.m. in 101 ASI. Vance Crowe, Monsanto Director of Millennial Engagement, will be visiting Penn State to give insight on the consumer/agriculture industry interaction in the United States.

Vance will share how some ideas are specially packaged and distributed so they can reach and resonate with a large number of people who can then become advocates and help those ideas move through networks. He will discuss how critics of modern agriculture have been successful at sharing their messages and what techniques are available to help consumers see that modern agriculture is a true wonder of civilization. The talk will help the audience understand how information is shared in the digital age.

Also, Vance will give a presentation during the Plant Science Department Seminar on Friday, March 18th, at 12:20 p.m. in 101 ASI.  Both students and faculty are encouraged to join us for these events.
