HORT 497, a spring 2015, 3-credit course, will look at designing and managing experiences through innovation, organization, education and entertainment.

Millions around the world make the trip to Orlando, FL each year to experience the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort. Why? This course will examine the philosophies and practices employed at one of the largest designed environments where guests are immersed in stories and experiences.

This course features an embedded tour of the Walt Disney World resort, giving students unique access to a top tourist attraction on the planet, and a better understanding of why experience matters and how to plan for and design a visitor experience.

You don't have to be a plant sciences student to benefit from this course!
