101st Horticulture Show

Posted: September 18, 2014

This annual event is hosted by students in Horticulture and Landscape Contracting and held at the Snider Agricultural Arena on Penn State's homecoming weekend (September 27 and 28). There will be landscape displays as well as fruits and plants for sale.

Join the Horticulture Club as we celebrate our 101st Horticulture Show! This year, we will be taking a journey through the calendar year with a variety of plants that showcase The Four Seasons. Visitors will be able to walk through our fully landscaped exhibits, purchase plant material, and even enjoy some fresh fruits and apple cider along the way. So make sure you spend your homecoming weekend the green way, by helping celebrate this age old Penn State tradition. This free event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday (September 27 and 28) in the Snider Agricultural Arena.

For more than a century, the college's Horticulture Club has put together this annual show, which allows visitors the opportunity to explore various aspects of horticulture. The purpose of the show is to engage students in designing, constructing and operating an event that will attract and educate the public about plants and landscaping.
