Info Session: Sustainable Ag and Development in Brazil

Posted: October 15, 2013

Join us for an information session on INTAG 499B, Sustainable Agriculture and Development in Brazil, which includes an embedded trip to southern Brazil over Spring Break 2014. Come to Room 122 Ag. Admin. Building, on Tuesday, October 15, at 4:30-5:30 p.m.

INTAG 499B: Sustainable Agriculture and Development in Brazil, will explore critical issues in agriculture, biodiversity, and development in southern Brazil, and relate these to the situation in the United States. In addition to discussing the dynamics, which underpin different agricultural systems, we will also examine these systems from a holistic perspective by considering social, economic, and political factors, which surround Brazilian agriculture and development today. We will also introduce the diverse cultural and historic dynamics that shape the “Brazilian experience."
