Coaly Society Applications Are Now Available

Posted: March 12, 2012

The Penn State Coaly Society is an honor society for students who exemplify leadership excellence in extracurricular activities within the College of Agricultural Sciences.

Coaly Society activities include conducting the Guldin Speaking Contest and working with the Alumni Association to select the Outstanding Senior in the College of Agricultural Sciences.

We are looking for students who are dedicated to the College of Agricultural Sciences and are actively involved in college activities.  Selection of new Coaly Society members is based on a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better, and a leadership position (officer or committee chairperson) in Ag Hill activities. Other activities could include offices, committee work, judging teams, etc.  You must be a member of at least one club sponsored by the College of Agricultural Sciences to be eligible. You must have completed one full semester at the University Park campus (at University Park since Fall 2011) and be at least fourth semester standing. Please be thorough in completing the application since this is the only criterion used in selecting candidates.  Feel free to use additional paper if necessary, and please be concise in your essay.

To request an application, please contact Christi Graver or stop by 101 Ag Administration Building.  Applications are due in 101 Ag Administration on Wednesday, April 18, by 4:00 p.m. The applications must be typed, either on the original form or retyped.

Computer simulations are acceptable.  All applicants will be notified of their acceptance status by email.
