The purpose of this award is to recognize an outstanding graduate student in the College of Agricultural Sciences pursuing a degree in the fields of agronomy or soil science.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to all graduate students in good academic standing in the College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State majoring in the Agricultural and Environmental Plant Science graduate program with a focus on agronomic crop research or Soil Science graduate program, regardless of enrollment status (full- or part-time).

Scholarship Amount

Up to $1,500

Selection Process

An award committee will be appointed by the Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Education to select the recipient(s).

Guidelines

  • Letter of nomination from the department head, including a summary statement of the efforts and accomplishments of the nominee to be recognized as an outstanding graduate student.
  • Each scholarship will be awarded for one academic year (Fall and Spring). A previous recipient can apply for subsequent years, but will be subject to review by the award committee each year.
  • Individuals nominating should send a unified pdf to the Office of Research and Graduate Education (graded@psu.edu), by Monday, November 21, 2022.
