Laboratory employees, students, and visiting researchers are responsible to:

  • Receive general Laboratory Safety training provided by EHS and specific training provided by lab personnel.
  • Comply with all provisions of the Laboratory Research and Safety Plan and conduct each operation in accordance with the Laboratory Research and Safety Plan procedures, including use of PPE and engineering controls, as appropriate. Complete Laboratory Research and Safety Plan certification.
  • Develop good personal chemical hygiene habits.
  • Report to supervisor all accidents and potential chemical exposures immediately.
