The SAFES Institute in collaboration with Tyler Groh and the Water Council are organizing the first water research and extension in-service day. (March 31, 2026)
The Spring 2026 Water Research and Extension In-Service Day focused on networking between Penn State water researchers and extension and outreach professionals who bring research to stakeholders. Interactive sessions will provide opportunities to share ideas on how to improve integration between the research and extension sides of the university and to elevate research and extension/outreach programming.
This day was filled with:
- informative interactive sessions
- strengthening connections across research, extension, and outreach
- opportunities that facilitate the collaboration of research and extension professionals to increase the impact of their programs
- lightning talks and poster sessions
In preparation for this event, the SAFES Institute has organized the SAFES Water Extension and Research Seminar Series and provide opportunities for both researchers and extension professionals to share ideas on how to work together to elevate their programming.
