Research Administration

During the initial discussions, the Executive Committee placed considerable emphasis on structural needs, support personnel, grants management, and other components of the University's research enterprise. During this same period, it was learned that a similar initiative was being advanced by the University's Senior Vice President for Research (SVPR), referred to as the Research Support Transformation Project. Rather than duplicate efforts, the decision was made to stay abreast of the decisions being made centrally and to focus our efforts on the other initiatives that were being considered. There is strong consensus that research support must remain a priority for the college, and the Office for Research and Graduate Education must remain committed to enhanced performance and efficiency. We applaud the efforts of the SVPR to engage and develop a strategy to transform research support.
