Student Gift Bags

The Ag Alumni Society invites alumni, industry partners and friends of the college to help provide students with gift bags during finals week. This is a fun way to provide students with a diversion from the grind and pressures of finals and a fantastic way to promote companies and products to students.

On May 8, more than 550 attendees celebrated the 2016 College of Agricultural Sciences graduates prior to commencement at a luncheon held at the Penn Stater. The luncheon, hosted by the Ag Alumni Society, welcomes graduates into the alumni society family with a one-year complimentary membership.
Ag & History Tour to Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum

On April 23, 30 ag alumni and friends embarked on a one-day motor coach trip sponsored by the Ag Alumni Society and the Pasto Agricultural Museum. Taking a step back in time they visited an authentic crossroads village of historic buildings with costumed guide interpretation, a vast collection of historic agricultural equipment and traditions using historic breeds of animals and crops authentic to the period.

More than 230 ag alumni from Big Ten schools gathered at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. on March 7 to network and hear how we are working together for the funding of land-grant institutions.

The Village at Penn State Holiday Celebration

On December 10, the College of Ag Sciences hosted the annual holiday celebration for alumni and former faculty who reside at The Village at Penn State. This annual tradition included a college update from Dr. Christ, Senior Associate Dean, live music from pianist Hope Coder, visits with current students, and holiday cheese boxes.

2015 Outstanding Alumni and Outstanding Recent Alumna

Four alumni were recognized for their achievements with the College Outstanding Alumni Award. Named Outstanding Alumni were David C. Ferree, of Centre Hall; Robert D. Heilman, of Henrico, Virginia; and Kenton D. Rexford, of Glenshaw. Beth Panko Briczinski, of Annandale, Virginia, was named Outstanding Recent Alumna, an award that honors alumni who have graduated in the last 10 years.

Five College of Agricultural Sciences alumni were inducted into the Armsby Honor Society at the annual dinner and ceremony held on Monday, October 26 at the Nittany Lion Inn. The Society was created to honor alumni and friends who have demonstrated a commitment to the College of Agricultural Sciences, and to foster their continuing involvement with the college and its alumni.
