Our biggest fund-raiser of the year! A chance to take home a little history and support Pasto.

The Penn State Pasto Agricultural Museum will hold a Silent Auction at the 2019 Ag Progress Days on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Each Ag Progress Days our Volunteers and Friends solicit donations for our biggest fundraiser of the year. Our Annual Silent Auction gives visitors a chance to “take home a little history” while supporting the work of the Museum.

Most sought after bid items include PSU-related items, sports tickets and memorabilia, agricultural equipment and tools (new and antique), equipment dealer swag, and more. Help us reach our goal of raising $10,000 with at least 100 items valued at $100 or more. Donate that special item that catches everyone’s attention! A cash and carry section will allow Tuesday attendees to purchase items without needing to return Wednesday.

In Spring 2019 we piloted a new multi-generational family program “THIS! Is What AgSci Looks Like,” that connected scientists and researchers with the general public to share the tools and thinking they use in their work. Emerging research professionals developed hands-on activities and programming to communicate their science, extending agricultural literacy to new audiences. A portion of funds raised in the Silent Auction provide stipends to subject matter experts to developing new curriculum and presenting their work. Help us make this program run this Fall with your donation and bids!

Thank you for your support! We seek donors, bidders, and buyers! Your donations are vital! Generous bidders will help us raise funds to support new programming that connects the science and history of our agricultural past to the present day.
