UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — As the Penn State Berkey Creamery delivery trucks travel their routes on campus, folks will notice a fresh appearance — vibrant vehicle wraps that embody the creamery’s commitment to delivering quality intertwined with tradition.

The refreshed design makes the creamery’s presence more recognizable around campus, noted James Brown, sales and marketing manager.

“Our mission is to deliver great products to as many customers as possible, and we believe that our delivery fleet, which is our face beyond the retail store, needed to reflect that,” he said. “Working with the college’s design team, we developed a new look that drives home our message of ‘Tradition Never Tasted So Good.’”

Brown said the delivery fleet, which started in the 1940s with milk delivery, is highly visible on the University Park campus, as it delivers to campus stores and dining halls to ensure students, faculty and staff have convenient access to the creamery’s products.

“For the past decade, we’ve been building our brand through improvements to the retail store, adding new products and expanding online offerings,” Brown said. “We take great pride in our accomplishments at the creamery, fostering a tradition and sense of pride that resonates with everyone who visits the store or enjoys our products elsewhere. Delivering the message on our trucks just made sense.”

Penn State’s Berkey Creamery, the largest university creamery in the United States, produces ice cream, cheese, milk, yogurt, sour cream and other products, such as juices, lemonade and iced teas. Cows from Penn State’s dairy herd provide milk for the creamery’s fresh dairy products, averaging about four days from cow to creamery treat.

The creamery ships many of its products within the continental U.S. For more information, visit the creamery website.
