Venison processing and preparation course to be offered

The College of Agricultural Sciences will offer Venison 101, a one-day course designed to help hunters expand their knowledge of deer diseases, processing venison and preparing delicious venison for friends and family.

Scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 11, the hands-on program covers deer diseases (including Chronic Wasting Disease), proper field dressing, processing, and cooking/canning. There will be plenty of opportunities to taste venison products and interact with speakers.
