Two Elected to Alumni Council

Roxanne (Hoffman) Shiels, ’90 ERM, ’93g Forest Resources, and Sharon Stringer, ’78 Comm, ’96g Ag Ed, ’99 Ph.D. Ag Ext Ed, were recently elected to three-year terms on the Alumni Council, an organization that shapes the policies and direction of the Penn State Alumni Association.

Shiels is the associate director of strategy, planning, and faculty/student engagement with the Office of the Vice President for Outreach at Penn State. Stringer is an associate professor at Lock Haven University teaching journalism.

Shiels and Stringer join several College of Agricultural Sciences alumni on the Alumni Council: Bridget Daly, ’06 Animal Bioscience; David Dell, ’76 Agricultural Mechanization; Scott McAllister, ’68 Agricultural Business Management; George Siehl II, ’55 Forestry; and Laurie Williams, ’90 Food Science.
