Just down the road from Beaver Stadium you may see students moving Quarter Horses from pasture to barn. The Department of Animal Science offers a range of courses emphasizing a scientific approach to horse management.

Students have the opportunity to select from more than a dozen equine courses on management, marketing, reproduction, nutrition, and more. Most include a hands-on component, giving students a chance to put what they learn in the classroom to use working with the college’s nationally recognized registered Quarter Horse breeding program.

The equine program provides educational opportunities for students interested in an equine industry career.
