2010 Graduate Awards

Robert Cameron, a doctoral candidate in horticulture whose research involves using plants to treat wastewater, won the Harold F. Martin Graduate Assistant Outstanding Teaching Award in spring 2010.

Cameron is one of three college graduate students honored for excellence in teaching, outreach, or research.

Matthew Ryan, doctoral candidate in ecology, won the Intercollege Graduate Degree Programs Outreach Achievement Award. Ryan researches weed management in organic farming operations.

Ezra Schwartzberg, doctoral candidate in entomology, won the Alumni Association Dissertation Award in the life and health sciences. Schwartzberg’s research focuses on the suppression of herbivore-induced plant defenses by aphids.

University-wide, Ag Sciences students won 12 out of 34 awards.
